This entire case is a very simple question that's being overcomplicated.

If a polis isn't permitted to choose who may be a member or remain within its territory, then it doesn't really exist in any meaningful sense, and it's certainly not sovereign.

Looking around today, the problem is not that people are too Cavalier--too vitalistic, adventurous, and fun-loving--but rather than our world has been crushed under the rock of Puritanism with Gay Race Communist characteristics

John Brown won, in other words. We need more Cavaliers, and their spirit. More vitality, more fun, more joie de vivre paired with a staunch belief in tradition and hierarchy
