Glad that Hon @EmmaTheofelus is raising awareness on this. In 2021, we carried out this Sit Analysis on Online Violence in Namibia.🟰 Evidence locally as is globally 📌OGBV is rife during special occassions i.e elections, etc
📌OGBV targets women & girls in prominent positions
This research, that I have led and worked with @emcerastus and @admire2mare was carried out under @ISOCNamibia Puts forward recommendations for Government, Academic, Platforms just amongst others and was possible thanks to the Africa Digital Rights Fund under @CIPESA#EndOVAW
ICYMI the Namibia research on OGBV is available here - it can add insights to stimulate the national conversation on #OGBV... lets ensure #SafetyOnline and #EndOVAW https://t.co/LyhTGpJQu0
Thank you @ISOCNamibia and partners for trusting us in facilitating this important two-day boot camp, capacitating individuals from marginalized communities on content creation, their media rights, and freedom.
