Pakistani State Narrative Challenged Mid Friday Sermon by Pakistani Muslims

During a Friday sermon, a state-paid Imam was pushing the Pakistani military’s narrative by framing Iran as the aggressor and claiming Pakistan, as an “Islamic state,” would stand with Arab nations against Iran.

A man in the audience stood up and asked:

“Our government nominated Trump for a Nobel Prize and stands with Israel, how is our state Islamic?”
