I've listened to Gachagua's press conference on his #RutoAtFour briefings.
Well, give it to him, despite few grammatical errors, the flow of thoughts not being chronological, the diction was quite a something.
I struggled to understand his speech. I struggled to understand whether this press conference was a bitter outburst towards Ruto the man who impeached him or what promise hasn't Ruto delivered. But I understand. He said himself that he's the one who wrote it with assistance from his wife.
But assuming we all just landed from Mars. Wouldn't we be surprised learning this is the same man whose Wamunyoro road was done by President William Ruto yet this man was an MP there for 5 years?
I know Gachagua is bitter with the President for sending him home disgracefully, but couldn't he be a leader for once and not a Wamunyoro headman ?
Ruto is not perfect and we all acknowledge that. But who doesn't see Kenya is now a construction site?
Who doesn't appreciate that our Shilling is stable against dollar?
Who doesn't see the Rironi-Nakuru-Mau Summit is under construction?
Who doesn't appreciate that Reforms in the agricultural sector have seen coffee and tea farmers fetch highest bonus payouts ever?
Who doesn't appreciate that despite our national debts crisis, our president has never defaulted?
Who doesn't feel that unga politics ended when this man Ruto came to power by subsidising fertilizer from Ksh. 7000 to Ksh 2500 thereby stabilizing the maize prices?
Who doesn't know Gachagua will never acknowledge Ruto has outdone Uhuru+Kibaki just because he was impeached?
@AlinurMohamed_ I reference this to a famous African adage..." A person who tries to shake a baobab tree will end up shaking only his own buttocks". Kasongo's second term is a no brainer and no childish rant can change that fact.
@RobertAlai@GeorgeNatembeya "....na hiyo yote amedelegate kwetu"
So @KIMANIICHUNGWAH's was not an allegation? Hizo stories za R. Yala zitapata ufumbuzi kariba. Mungu ni mwema.
Calm and normalcy in Kakamega, Nyeri, Kisumu, Eldoret and Mombasa save for a few renegades running around in Nbi CBD with police with intentions to loot hard-earned property of innocent Kenyans. Anarchists crying on their knees today! #KawaidaNaneNane.
@HonAdenDuale Hon @HonAdenDuale , spot on! Indeed the future will be brighter for you than your past. Soldier on simba and keep remembering the favours of your Lord, The Giver
@MigunaMiguna Miguna, stop cheating yourself and Kenyans......your incessant "revolutionary " noise isnt helping anything at all. Come down, sit with ordinary mwananchi and we discuss issues or else luck off na ujipe shughuli!
Fixing Kenya's governance deficit (ie broken law and order, corrupt judiciary, thieving governors, rags to rich state corporations employees, dead parliament...et al), stopping new corruption in H.E Ruto's government and addressing Uhuru era grand corruption (4 dollar billionaires et al) are more urgent and consequential national imperatives than stabilising the economy. The palpable unpopularity of Ruto's regime isn't because fuel is expensive or we have periodic power blackouts, or unga is expensive. Ruto's government faces strong headwinds because the reforms and new governance initiatives UDA promised Kenyans have been thrown out of the window. H.E @WilliamsRuto needs to dust off his visionary manifesto, reboot his reform agenda/credentials and address the 3 issues i highlight here...the same can't wait for tomorrow. The three issues need to be addressed TODAY.
