Fridge full of Raspberry & Hibiscus and Camomile and Grape Kombucha! Bother! I’ll have to get my sales hat on sharpish! #kombucha#craftbrewing#fermented
Left: Kemi Badenoch, "We had a budget in March this years and tractors were not blocking the streets of Whitehall afterwards"
Right: Sky News show footage of tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall and Parliament after the Conservative party's budget earlier this year
As it happens I was leading a debate in Parliament on the UK fishing industry while you were tweeting this Richard - it is a shame no one from Reform had the time to join. There is more to life than Twitter!
Left: Kemi Badenoch says British citizenship should be "a privilege to be earned" and not an "automatic right"
Right: A Nigerian TV channel points out that Kemi Badenoch's mum flew to London to give birth to Kemi, then flew back to Nigeria, where Kemi was raised till the age of 16
How did Kemi Badenoch "earn" her British citizenship when her mum flew over just to give birth, or is that the "automatic right" she wants discontinued for others but is happy to have had for herself?
Rory Stewart, "We're in an unbelievable hole.. 9.2 million economically inactive people.. That's 1 in 7 aged under 65 who aren't children"
"We're complete European outliers.. The rest of Europe sorted itself after covid, we didn't"
"Nobody has a clue of why it's happening, it's really wierd"
"1 in 20 on disability benefits in Windsor.. 1 in 6 are on disability benefits in Blackpool.. So it has some connection to poverty and region"
"Part of the problem might be that we've created a really rubbish working environment.. Jobs are poorly paid.. Stressful.. People in the UK work longer hours than they do in Europe, for less money"
"So its not surprising that 9.2 million people are not keen to re enter the workforce"
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch is blaming the Vauxhall job losses on the electric vehicle mandate introduced by Tory business secretary Kemi Badenoch. I wonder if the two of them are related?
I see Helen Whately, Shadow SofS for Work and Pensions is trending. Her ability to chat utter gibberish is extraordinary. As she likes talking so much, perhaps she could explain how she claims £39K per year in rent expenses, yet lives only 50 miles away from parliament.

Left: Helen Whately, "We handed over to Labour much lower debt than we had inherited"
Right: Peter Kyle, "There are facts in public debate.. Debt was £800 billion in 2010, it was £2.6 trillion in 2024"
13 years since Gary Speed passed away. It’s ok to not be ok and support is out there for you.

When I think of all the marches I’ve been on, some with 100,000s, that newspapers and TV have totally ignored, and then I see this one against inheritance tax, which will hit only the wealthiest, including those who bought land to dodge tax, and the wall-to-wall media coverage…
This is Jeremy Clarkson, the so called Leader of the Farmy Army. In 2021, he mouthed off to The Times that he only bought his £4.25 million farm to avoid paying inheritance tax!! There are just no words for this muppet.

"Inheritance tax relief" introduced in 1984 turned "owning agricultural land into having a licence to avoid inheritance tax," Professor Paul Cheshire tells #PoliticsLive
It led to a "four-fold increase in the price of agricultural land", he adds

None of this takes away from those affected understandably being opposed to the change. Fair enough. But given this debate is now seeing totally untrue claims all over the shop important for it to be informed by the facts
I liked the budget
I didn't like her ignoring that £40 billion is pretty much the annual lost tax from trade with the EU because of Brexit
Labour and the Conservatives are very different, but they shame the same dishonesty over Brexit, which is a shame for a party that keeps talking about honesty, and is dishonest with the public on this
