i’ll always ride for real metalcore and that revival sound but i wanna see more bands chasing that style produce something that sets them apart instead of throwing an angel statue on the demo cover and playing 5-7-8 riffs with no passion
Case in point, here is a song where I shamelessly tried to do a Bret Hinds impression in the opening riff and failed fairly miserably

Not original but Brett Hinds was completely game-changing for my guitar playing (if I was ever asked my most important guitarists it was him, Prince, Tom Morello & Ben Weinman). He seemed like a deeply troubled person, but his art impacted me and this band forever!
@Obseyxx You did assume, because your assessment of our engagement in activism around Gaza was a band was a Twitter search! And you did that as a means of scolding us! I promise you you’re barking up the wrong tree here
@Obseyxx This is a highly ironic reply on many levels, but mainly because it absolutely embodies the tendency I am pushing back on, which is assuming the worst without knowing the facts!
@emmabwilkes Totally, also my understanding was the options they were given were kick Bob off or cancel the festival, and taking the latter decision unilaterally would have major implications for every other act on the bill! To reduce this to 'they only care about profit' seems insane to me
Feel free to yell at me, but it seems like we should give the Radar guys just a smidge of grace and wait for the real facts to emerge before unleashing a dogpile on them. Performance for clout is not a valuable contribution to ending the genocide, it is purely self-serving.
This is not concrete evidence, but from how they were when they had us on, I would be *shocked* if they took this decision lightly. Our experience was of a crew of people working their arses off to support artists & do right by everyone involved.
Eye opening read about the pressures of touring and the subsequent slew of bands breaking up in the British metal scene, including Ithaca who play their farewell show at this year's ArcTanGent.

Just spun this album again for the first time in a few months, & I still love it.
Camera Eats First is such a cool track.
Such a shame they called it quits.
But their music will never die.
@ITHACABAND 🤘

@__RAVENDARK__ Possibly this one off show in the UK by one of the best bands ever @bleedingthrough supported by one of the best uk bands ever @ITHACABAND set lists were killer, singing along with random people in the crowd, good feelings throughout the night! Was just an amazing night!
Endless fights about whether something does or doesn’t fit narrow genre classification gives undue credence to the ‘let people enjoy things’ beigeification crowd. Is it *good* or is it *bad*. Does it innovate, challenge or aspire to greatness or not.
UK hardcore band Still In Love, featuring members of Dead Swans, Throats, Brutality Will Prevail, Last Witness and ex-Bring Me The Horizon, have released new single Nervous Impulse.
