Unity will soon charge devs per-install after a certain threshold. I'd like to express my concerns regarding privacy (tracking installs/downloads), preservation and changing the whole business model while devs are using the engine for their projects. 🫤

So, based on just my personal experience. If Unity's new policy would've been applicable for us, we'd lose money on every unity we ship through bundles over the lifetime 200k units.

We barely make a cent per unit over those, but would need to cough up 20 cents for the install?

Just so that people know. Your user decides what the expectations are. The fact that there is a studio that's actually able to fulfill them shouldn't make you feel angry or scared. If that's what's occupying your mind in response to #BG3, you're not making games for the players.

@stephanduq Don't you think that we underrate emotional and circumstantial value of art? Outside of standard commercial and industry work, most people commission art because of the authenticity.
I don't see something like Magic creating cards with AI in the near future for example.

@PostNL Klopt het dat er momenteel vertraging is met internationale post? Ik verwacht post uit Griekenland, Polen en Duitsland die allemaal al ruim 2 weken geleden verstuurd zijn. Doorgaans hoef ik daar niet zo uitzonderlijk lang op te wachten.

@Sulicius Yeah it's worth it. The first episode is a bit cringe, but it's in general still a realistic portrayal of the time period, the concept isn't as novel as the first season, though. HS's are portrayed to death, but it's not what Stranger things is about.
