@Wizardking42@SpookyHooga Imo Twilight Princess would've been just as good of a candidate if they felt the need to remake something. I just hope they at least do a reimagining and make it distinct from the OG
@pejic839@Dastanovich_ I honestly thought the next 3D Mario was gonna be the final reveal and OoT was the penultimate. If the next Mario is an early 2027 game I think we'll see it in September. If not, definitely next year. Also fully believe the MKW DLC is DK related as well
@ChadJustDrums I hope they go all in and implement Ura Zelda as a second quest. Master Quest was the main feature of Ura Zelda iirc but it also had way more that got cut for the GameCube version
@pejic839@Dastanovich_ Unfortunately I think thats gonna be in 2027 alongside the next 3D Mario. Funniest possibility is they STILL tout those games for the 40th anniversary
@pejic839@Dastanovich_ I have a feeling OoT will be early November and Duskbloods is gonna be their December release as it'll theoretically coincide with people buying consoles for the holidays and wanting to play a new multiplayer game
@Meatal320@Dastanovich_ I think theyre going for what they did with the Wii U tech demo, but as a fully realized game now that they have the technology to do better realistic graphics
It isn't a necessary remake, but I think they made it more as a technical showcase and to promote the movie than out of desperation. The artstyle looks similar to the Zelda WiiU tech demo and I think thats what inspired the full game
@ToBeDaddo@JackoXFburner I mean yeah lol but it doesnt make the series worse. If anything it allows for arcs to parallel each other and to continually foreshadow the final war and void century based on precedent. Skypeia in particular is slowly looking more and more like a microcosm of the story's climax
@ToBeDaddo@JackoXFburner Save for a few arcs like Sabaody, Marineford, Impel Down, Zou, etc., thats how most of the arcs are structured in a reductive sense. The series being formulaic isn't inherently bad and it works to its favor bc many arcs could work as standalone stories in isolation from One Piece
@Zizoplays1 It's anti art to dismiss remakes entirely as anti art because you refuse to engage with the work itself. However a remake can very much be anti art if it removes elements of the original's artistic intent for the sake of better graphics, cutting content, etc
@AlternateUrge@Fleechiru I'm not smart enough to make a thesis on this. What I can say is RWers typically use these terms to elevate themselves among the sheep because they feel enlightened enough to see the truth, their subjective truth. Instead of engaging the issue, they just dismiss any disagreement
