On Saturday night I was forced to leave the @premierinn Enfield, in the middle of the night. staff didn’t believe my dog was a guide dog. Despite being given proof (my ADUK, harness and lead!). Legally I do not have to provide proof. This is a thread. Get comfy.

@PedroGailhard Can you give some examples? Because, as I said, the lyrics seemed in tact when I saw it in London. At least, nothing leapt out at me they way lyric changes made in the recent North American touring production did! So maybe some changes have been reversed?
@PedroGailhard Um, silver sex toy? And when you say changes to the libretto, do you mean words or lyrics? Because I didn’t notice any that stick out from when I recently saw it in London.
Sorry, wrong as well! The #Phantom is not the villain. There is no villain or hero in #PhantomOfTheOpera. Rather, he is some one who has experienced severe abuse who has, himself, in a very common pattern, become violent in turn. But he is ultimately able to learn and transform.
I can’t believe people posting their woke hot takes about Phantom being problematic still haven’t gotten the clue that the Phantom is the villain of the story. Of COURSE he’s problematic, he’s literally evil?
@PedroGailhard Still, it sounds like most of the changes are cosmetic rather than the full-scale restaging and redesign of, say, the recent North American touring production.
Hey all! At one point I recall seeing an article posted that breaks down the changes from the #BrilliantOriginal#PhantomOfTheOpera to the reduced version now playing in the #WestEnd. And I thought I’d saved it, but now I can’t find it! Can some one repost? Thanks! #Research

Amen!! And incidentally, this isolation and its emotional, psychological and spiritual effects are among the realities that the #BrilliantOriginal#PhantomOfTheOpera addresses unflinchingly.
In 1991, Peter Karrie took over the role of ‘The Phantom’ after understudying the role. Karrie went on to play the role further in London from 1992-1993, on the Canadian Far-East Tour ‘95, Canadian Tour ‘97, Toronto ‘98, & UK Tour, 2000.
