10/10 Together, these findings identify a social-interactive mode of prejudice formation that occurs through repeated interaction and is expressed most directly in behavior, complementing existing models of passive forms of prejudice formation and effects on cognition or affect.

9/10 In sum: race influences impression formation in direct social interaction, especially in people with low internal motivation, and people with high prejudice. This effect is due to racial bias in initial interaction expectancies as well as in the updating process.
