New video!
Last week I explained why I charge my Tesla at 25A. Many of you said charging faster is more efficient. You were right. So I analyzed 18 months of TeslaFi data to find out what it cost me.

@GreenTexanEV@ChargePointnet They’ve had waitlists on their L2 chargers for years. I often use it at work when they’re all full by the time I arrive. I just park nearby and move the car when the app tells me it’s time to charge.
Walmart EV Charging has hit 100 open sites!
To celebrate this achievement of Walmart EV Charging and the community that helps me keep tabs on all of it, we're going to let the viewers show off the progress through their eyes!
So if there's one near you, I would love for you to shoot 60 seconds on your phone, held sideways. Say where you are, show us the stalls, and maybe tell us one thing I can't get from a permit filing. Sites under construction count too!
Email it to [email protected] with your city and state in the subject line. Deadline is August 15. Anything I use gets your name (or how you wish to be credited) on screen — and sending it in means I can use it. I have added a column to my data sheets so you can verify that your location hasn’t already been taken! https://t.co/3UkOJ9imm9
@SjvTesla Totally agree - if I didn’t make the mistakes I made, I wouldn’t be where I am today. For better or worse, I’m proud of where I am and excited to see what’s in store for the future.
@smeadows2004 Agreed - that would be hard to quantify of course, but equipment, labor, and downtime aren’t cheap. Anything you can do to increase longevity will reduce total cost of ownership.

@AndyZeGerman@MissJilianne I’ve definitely seen it respond to humans directing traffic. Whether it’s hand signals or body language, I’m not sure, but it is pretty cool.
I think that’s the right way to take this. At first, I was upset that a large car you channel did not already know this. But Tesla hasn’t had wide media availability until more recently. And FSD 14 hasn’t been out for more than several months at this point. So I think the correct take is what you said - we are so early.
@aelluswamy@DavidMoss My implied preference changes based on the situation. Just let me set my max speed and use the compute on something else. If max speed control is an anti pattern, so is choosing a driving profile.
I don’t want to share the video of the shooting. So scary and sad.
But after seeing it, I’ll never plug into a charger without using my @EVject . Period.
This tragedy happened in broad daylight.
With an EVject, you have the option to escape, even when your car is plugged in.
Maybe, maybe not. But any EV will have an extreme range loss at -5C. In my own testing, my Model Y has a nearly 30% highway range hit in super cold temps (-15C). Assuming the same for the cars in Kyle’s test, that would mean winter highway range of 226 miles for the Y Performance and 185 for the R2. Both are low enough to scare away new EV buyers.
@TravisKetchum@bxlewi1@itskyleconner@Rivian I agree - R2 is another big expansion of EVs into the mainstream car buyer audience. So there are a lot of new folks who have freshman anxiety over range and charging.
What if I told you this Model 3 highland, was actually a legacy Model 3?
This YouTuber converted his legacy 3, into a highland 3!
