My bud @YT_nooobRBLX and other people wonder why we continue to have Roblox Drama. Don’t get me wrong, there are a multitude of reasons. But I believe one of the most important things to understand is that the lack of online safety and security is a massive contributor to this.

It sounds crazy at first, but once people get too comfortable without the necessary boundaries, we open the door to people making decisions that they wouldn’t make if they used their brains and respected others.

Mel has issued an apology to both the devs and the community after owning up.

It's super important to remember that - while what they did was wrong - they confessed and apologise.

They're young - we've all made mistakes.

Seeing all this discourse makes me so happy because I never want to see people who affiliate themselves with loli content in my space or community again.

The Philippines has made 3 demands of Roblox ahead of the April 10th deadline, otherwise, they may face a national ban.

1. Roblox must establish a physical office in the Philippines
2. Roblox must overhaul its age verification protocols, rather than using facial recognition or self-declared birthdays, instead they are recommending the Philippine Identification System, which is a National ID System.
3. Roblox must provide authorities with "necessary information to track down digital predators and cybercriminals"

Secretary of the DICT, Henry Aguda, stated that the process will uphold legal safety net and due process, requiring court orders and subpoenas.

🚨 Latest Roblox PH Update (March 30, 2026)

No ban yet! The CICC has pushed the potential nationwide ban to April 10 after Roblox reached out and promised full cooperation on child safety.

Key dates:

Tomorrow (Mar 31): Government summit on online safety
April 7-9: Roblox Staff meets CICC in Manila to present fixes

Roblox says they're committed to keeping Filipino kids safe and believe the platform can still be a positive place for creativity and play.
