Concerns have emerged over working conditions at Kitui Flour Mills, the manufacturer of Dola flour, after footage appeared to show a young worker handling multiple tasks that would ordinarily require several employees.
The worker is seen taping, filling 2kg flour packets, bundling them, arranging the bundles on pallets and stamping them. The footage has raised questions about employee welfare, workload distribution and the role of supervisors in ensuring fair working conditions.
Kitui Flour Mills’ Human Resources department had not responded to the concerns by the time of publication.
We Muslims need to be honest with ourselves.
Right now, a lot of the world sees us as a problem.
And our attitude isn't helping.
We demand respect, but we don't give any.
We get offended by everything, from a song to a Christmas tree.
We move to other people's countries, then complain they don't live like us.
We lose an argument, and we start cursing.
Then we cry that the world hates Muslims.
The world doesn't hate Islam.
It's tired of us.
President Ruto orders the Makueni County Commissioner to find land for the construction of a KMTC in the area by next week.
“Tafuta shamba. Ikikosekana shamba ya serikali, mtafute shamba, nita nunua na pesa yangu tuweke KMTC ya watu wa Makueni.”
Under what law is the President allowed to use his own money to purchase land for the establishment of a public institution?
Jameni.
NO TRANSPARENCY, NO ACCOUNTABILITY.
Kenyans deserve to see, verify, and scrutinise election results. @IEBCKenya You cannot claim to protect democracy while weakening the very safeguards that make elections credible. The vote must not only be counted. It must be verifiable.

A suspected Ebola case has reportedly been detected in Kinangop, with a patient said to have been evacuated from Mukungi Village and quarantined at Nyahururu County Hospital. An eyewitness claims the patient was bleeding from all seven bodily orifices.
I now see why basic education matters for a governor.
Since yesterday, Mr Johnson Sakaja has contradicted himself again and again over the Eastleigh collapse. He says City Hall never approved the construction. He says City Hall never allowed partial occupation. Yet the shops trading on the ground floor and basement were licensed by the same City Hall.
Then it gets worse. Not once has he spoken about the regulatory role of his own county. Planning, inspection, enforcement and licensing all sit with his office. Instead, he wants "prosecutorial powers," as if more powers will sway the Bench when the powers he already has went unused.
There was no written brief and no clear facts. He spoke to the media at the scene as if it were a campaign rally, while families waited at the Red Cross tracing desk for news of their loved ones.
"Too casual" is an understatement. Eastleigh deserves answers, not soundbites #EastleighCollapse
