No one teaches you the courage to say no to what is almost right.Especially the things that are almost what you want, almost what could work if you just lowered yourself a little more. That's the test right there.
very hard to have FOMO if you understand the importance of your current season. it’s been my biggest lesson this year. be where your feet are. there’s a reason for this current placement, this current happening. observe it and respond. if you look elsewhere, you’ll waste it.
My problem is, even platonically, I want to tell people how excited I am to be around them lmao but people get so weird with earnest and genuine expressions of emotions. People aren't interacting earnestly with people because they're scared they'll look corny.
I don’t stay positive all the time, I stay grounded. I let grief, doubt, regret, & fatigue pass thru me freely without letting them define me, b'cause clarity eventually returns.
I hold onto my purpose, which steadies me when emotions fluctuate.
And, I remember to laugh.

More importantly don’t stay still, all you’re doing is getting more experience in a field you don’t care about.

It’s been 10 years since I took a million dollar pay cut to pay all staff at Gravity Payments a $70,000 minimum wage. People have wondered: How did it go?
We conducted a comprehensive study of everything that has happened since our 2015 announcement.
We are proof that paying living wages is good for both employees and businesses.
Since raising wages, our revenue and profits have soared, employees have started families while continuing to provide excellent customer service, and clients have become happier and stayed longer.
It worked so well that we raised the minimum to $80,000 and added an employee profit-sharing program.
Yet outside our company, it made no impact: no businesses followed suit, and the pay gap between workers and CEOs remains massive.

Becoming less reactive is a huge part of growth and decreasing stress. If you let everything get you worked up, you’ll damage your mind, body, and spirit.
