Someone is spreading false information about me, claiming that I am part of a WhatsApp group where we supposedly encourage stream sniping. This claim is completely false.

The group in question is simply a private chat among friends, where we share conversations and personal aspects of our everyday lives. That is precisely why the group has privacy rules: none of us wants our private conversations or personal information shared by third parties or former members.

This situation stems from a personal dispute between the individual in question and another member of the group. After not receiving the support or backing he expected, he threatened three of us with releasing private information and conversations unless we gave him money. In the same message, he explicitly made withholding that information conditional on receiving payment.

It is especially disappointing to see someone I considered a friend and trusted person drag others into a personal dispute and resort to threats and demands for money as a form of petty retaliation. Whatever conflict may exist between them, I find it unjustifiable to use the trust and private information shared among friends as leverage to pressure or harm people who have nothing to do with that dispute.

I sincerely hope they can resolve their differences. However, after what has happened, the trust necessary to maintain a friendship has been broken, and I no longer see any reason to continue it.

Out of respect for the friendship we once had, I will not publish or share our private conversations. I do not believe in responding in the same way or using information that was shared with me in confidence to harm him.
