This is my first #Blender3d update since last October.
I cannot stress how hard it's been to try, and fail, and try again to learn Blender 3D because of the pressures of real life But I just wanted to post this to show that I did not give up.
Fall 7 times, get up 8 😎
To say 80 percent of the Star Wars EU contradicted itself is a bold faced lie. If you define “contradicted itself” as stories that contain or create hard, plot-breaking conflicts with other major works, you’re probably in the low single digits to low teens at most. A lot of the “inconsistencies” people bring up are soft details — exact years, side character ranks, or interpretations of lines like “a thousand generations” — that don’t actually break the larger narrative for most readers. The rest of the material (easily 85%+) either: Doesn’t interact with conflicting stories at all, or Was written to slot into the existing timeline, or Got quietly reconciled by later authors/editors. That’s why the “80% contradictions” claim is such obvious hyperbole. It’s not based on any count of the actual library — it’s rhetoric meant to make the EU sound like an unreadable disaster so the 2014 reset looks cleaner by comparison. The EU was a living timeline that authors actively worked to keep coherent. Minor soft conflicts are normal in any long-running universe. The real disaster was the corporate reset that threw it all away instead of continuing to reconcile like the EU team did for decades. Real fans who actually read the books know the difference between hyperbole and reality.
The Last Jedi is the ultimate movie for downwardly mobile Millennials. That's why it recasts failure as success, because it means you're actually providing valuable lessons for the next generation of trans youth to succeed or whatever.
But actually, if you fail at something, it means you're a loser. There are many ways of dealing with this reality without succumbing to despair or pathological self-hatred. But you are a loser. You have not helped anyone. You have not achieved anything. You have failed at what you set out to do.
This is what Yoda means when he says "Do or do not" in The Empire Strikes Back. It's a more profound message than it seems like. You have to actually do things in order to live the life you want. If you keep telling yourself that you're just going to try your best, you're just going to rot in place until one day you're suddenly old, and then just as soon you're suddenly dead.
There's nothing inspiring about the message of The Last Jedi. It is designed to make you feel better about your inadequacies, which are not things you should feel good about at all. Again, this is different than hating yourself or thinking you have no worth. But you cannot delude yourself about the things that are holding you back.
I really, REALLY want to see this, and I think it's something that would help with the overall longevity of the game, plus help foster a competitive scene, etc.
I know @pipeworks has a Discord for their other game. Can you make one for this? Or is that something @atari would do?

Well said, John Summers: "Studios spend billions chasing recognizable IP because they want built-in audiences. Then when a franchise actually has a built-in audience, suddenly that audience is treated like a problem to manage." #Stargate
Another day of #stargate trending on here.
Let's keep the momentum. @AmazonMGMStudio you should really reconsider cancelling @martingero's Stargate series.
Give them at least one season! #savestargate
Nintendo Switch 2 sales crashed 87% in one week in Japan 🎮
The reason? A ¥10,000 price hike, and buyers saw it coming.
