To many of us, Stadia provided a solution. To this day, I'm unable to play RDR2 with some of my friends since Stadia shut down because they (college students mostly) simply could not afford buying a console.
@HadetTheUndying@negeerbareman@pcgamer I agree. RDO was a way for me to socialize with friends throughout the quarantine. If it was just content that kept me playing, I wouldn't be playing for long if I'm honest.
@negeerbareman@AVERAGEJOE33 Most of the hours are from playing Red Dead Online and not the story mode. I also always left my game on to run businesses such as trader and moonshine while I slept or went out. The fuss is over Red Dead Online progress and not story mode progress :)
If you played RDO on Stadia and you did not yet transfer your character, it may be too late now.
A player in one of the communities I was active in reached out to Rockstar after the Stadia shut down and was told that their account no longer exists.
@MiksteR_RdY@RockstarGames Stadia was the only platform that I could play RDO at 60fps without any hackers/modders. Transferring my progress to Xbox is now subjecting myself to subpar 30fps.
It was such a fun ride and one of the most wholesome and emotional streams I have ever done! Thank you to the team at @GoogleStadia for joining me in the final moments before the shut down 🥹🫶💕
I can't thank you enough for the amazing community you have created 💖
