The RNC has issued an arrest warrant for Ahmed Mohamed Shafik Abelfat Elgammal (36) wanted for abducting his daughter. This is an active and ongoing investigation and the RNC is using all available resources to locate and confirm the safety of the child.

Topsail Rd, between Blackmarsh Rd and Farrell Drive, Mount Pearl is currently closed due to a motor vehicle collision. A vehicle struck a power pole and there are live wires in the area. Everyone avoid the area. Significant traffic disruptions.

⚠️ The RNC is warning the public of the presence of carfentanil and methylfentanyl. This is the first time both drugs have been detected in NL. Their use may increase the risk of overdose and death.
