I'm building a nonprofit to give this generation and the next guidance, leadership, and purpose.
The name drops once every step is done. Until then, I'll document the whole journey here.
Every day I'll share something to build character, leadership, and purpose in the next generation, because every kid deserves someone in their corner. But this isn't just my page. It's a conversation about how WE show up for our at-risk communities.
A community is only as strong as the people who hold it together.

Talent gets you noticed. Character keeps you in the room. Show up on time. Be respectful. Be the same person whether the coach is watching or not. That opens doors talent alone never will. #InTheirCorner
Leadership isn't a title you wait for. It's the kid who includes the new student at lunch, who speaks up when someone's being picked on, who sets the example when it'd be easier not to. You don't need permission to lead. Start today. #InTheirCorner
Asking for help isn't weakness. It's what strong people do. The smartest kids in the room are the ones who raise their hand and say "I don't get it yet." Ask the question. Find your people. Nobody makes it alone. #InTheirCorner
Messing up doesn't make you a failure. Quitting on yourself does. Every person you look up to has a list of mistakes they learned from. Own it, learn from it, and try again tomorrow. That's how you grow. #InTheirCorner
@herchosenpath Growing up my daddy use to talk to me crazy. But he did it because he didn't want us to fail to get in trouble. Despite that it shaped me into the person I am now.
5 days. 14 military-connected youth. One unforgettable experience. πͺ
The 5th Annual Camp Impact brought together military-connected youth, ages 13β16, for a 5 day leadership and character development experience at Camp For All in Burton, Texas.
Through Character Does Matter lessons, mentorship, team building, service, and hands-on camp activities, campers built confidence, strengthened connections, and discovered what it means to lead with character.
A special thank you to our 6 TMF Mentors who helped make the week possible: Doug Merritt, Victoria Chavez, Lester Niblock, Constance White, and Earl Lundy.

@Shermlock_ I have held this vision for years but kept postponing it, doubting my ability. However, I would rather have attempted it than not tried at all.
