And the reason it doesn’t happen is because it would entail MANY OF US in the entertainment /media industry to come to a racial awakening which is tied to privilege. And gawd forbid we grabble with embodying white privilege.

Why do I never have to add my race in front of being Latina? That’s privilege baybeee! Because I’m assumed to be “Latina”.

Why aren���t WHITE Latinos introduced in the media as “White Latina (insert occupation)”. By only having Black Latinos do so we perpetuate that we non Black Latinos are the default and Black Latinos are the “others” of our community.
