my ANM at the hospital texted me yesterday letting me know that deadline for education and flu vaccination is TODAY & if not completed then I would be terminated. waiting until the day prior to lmk is crazy. I should’ve been keeping up with the dates but still!

nursing students were so task oriented yesterday that they didn’t realize my patient was struggling to breathe while helping him with a bath. could’ve easily been a code had I not intervened. that was such a vital lesson for them. always always look at your patient!
