Hon'ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu conferred Shaurya Chakra on 22 May 25 to four IAF personnel:

Wg Cdr Vernon Keane during a sortie on a fighter aircraft experienced an oil system malfunction emergency warranting shut down of both engines. Despite losing both engines, he displayed superlative flying skills, controlled the aircraft and directed aircraft away from civilian life and property. In the process he was successful in relighting one of the engines and thus saved valuable national asset and prevented loss of lives and property.

Sqn Ldr Deepak Kumar, was on a instructional night sortie along with trainee pilot when a bird hit caused engine flameout. Despite limited cues available in night he used exceptional judgement and superlative flying skills to force land the aircraft on the runway with only 1000 feet left after landing. His prompt actions in safe stopping of aircraft in a life threatening situation, resulted in ensuring safety of valuable national asset and prevention of loss of lives and property.

Flt Lt Aman Singh Hans, in March 2024, was authorized to undertake a long-range ferry mission on a fighter aircraft by dark night. At an altitude of 28,000 feet, a sudden blast occurred in the cockpit, with aircraft Head-Up Display and visual flight references blanking off. Despite the grave and life-threatening situation, he maintained exceptional composure, quickly regained control of the aircraft , initiated emergency procedures and safely landed aircraft at nearest base,thus saving the aircraft and precious lives on ground.

Cpl (Now Sgt) Dabhi Sanjay Hiffabhai, during a terrorist attack in May 2024, displayed exceptional composure and tactical awareness. Unfazed by profuse bleeding and the severity of his wounds,due to gunshot, he strategically adjusted his position, took cover, and engaged the enemy with his personal weapon, saving the precious lives of his team members.
