Another thing most people don’t know.
If you find expired or suspicious food being sold in Ghana, don’t just take a picture, post “Ei Ghana 😭” and continue with your day.
You can actually report it to the Food and Drugs Authority (@fdaghana). Here’s exactly what to do:
Take a clear picture of the product.
Take a picture of the expiry date and batch number.
Write down the name and location of the shop.
If you bought it, keep your receipt.
Then go to the FDA website ( https://t.co/8HIIyjLICN ) and use “Submit a Complaint.”
They’ll ask for information like the product name, batch number, where you bought it, manufacture/expiry date and what exactly is wrong.
You can also contact the FDA complaints line: 055 111 2224 .
This isn’t only about food. The FDA also regulates medicines, cosmetics, household chemicals and other regulated products. The FDA also says confidentiality is assured for whistleblowers. So next time you see something suspicious, don’t only expose it on social media. Report it too.
A picture going viral tells Twitter there’s a problem. A proper report tells the institution responsible where the problem is, what product to investigate and which batch to look for.
Please share this information.
Explain it to your parents, neighbours and friends. Translate it into Twi, Ga, Ewe, Dagbani or whatever language the people around you understand. Millions of Ghanaians knowing exactly what to do when something goes wrong is more powerful than millions of us believing there’s nothing we can do.
Part of making Ghana work is knowing how Ghana is supposed to work 👍🏾
If they are doing their work well in holding the Highway Authority responsible we wouldn't be here in the first place. Their inability to even know what is happening there is precise why they are not working.

The Ministry admitted shortage of commercial vehicles. 53 fucking days. People had to live with this shit. Who takes responsibility?

This electricity story is actually crazy when you understand it.
Ghana has private companies producing some of our electricity and supplying gas. The problem is, the electricity sector has repeatedly not brought in enough money to cover what it costs to run.
So the unpaid bills pile up. By the end of 2024, the IMF says Ghana owed power producers and fuel suppliers more than $2 billion.
In 2025, the NDC government put about $1.47 billion into dealing with some of these energy obligations, including old power debts, gas bills and restoring a World Bank guarantee that had been used up.
That is progress but imagine earning GH¢5,000 every month while your household keeps costing GH¢7,000.
Someone can clear your old debt today. If you don’t fix that GH¢2,000 gap, you’ll be in debt again.
That is basically Ghana’s electricity problem. So paying the debt is good but fixing why we keep creating the debt is even more important. Otherwise another government will come and give us another PowerPoint explaining another billion dollars.
Please, break the cycle 👍🏾
A man expresses concern after spotting an excavator being driven on the Kwahu road yesterday instead of being transported on a low-bed trailer, causing damage to the road surface.
“clean water over 24hr economy”
the message was clear even before the ‘akatamanso’ people used it as a campaign tool to takeover the country 2yrs ago. #StopGalamseyNow!
Another thing most of us get wrong.
Your area is filthy. Rubbish hasn’t been collected. The gutters are full. Everybody starts shouting at the MP. 😭
Sanitation in your community is primarily the responsibility of your Metropolitan, Municipal or District Assembly. That means your Assembly should be dealing with things like waste collection, public cleaning, drains and enforcing sanitation rules.
Your Assembly Member represents your area at the Assembly.
The MCE/DCE heads the local administration responsible for getting much of this work done.
So yes, hold national government accountable for national policy and funding but if the rubbish outside your house hasn’t moved for three weeks, learn the names of the people running your Assembly too.
We cannot hold people accountable if we don’t even know whose job it is 👍🏾
Suspicions coming in Suggest the recent spike in missing persons have strong correlation with rituals and illegal kidney related syndicates
Be careful out there 🙏
If your street is dark and you need streetlights, there is actually a process for requesting them. You can apply through your local Assembly or contact the ECG District Manager responsible for your area. ECG then has to check if the transformer serving your area can handle the extra streetlights? If it can, the process can move forward. If it cannot, the electricity infrastructure may need to be upgraded first.
Sometimes the difference between complaining and getting answers is simply knowing which door to knock on 👍🏾
