Many of us are more blessed than we realize. A roof over our heads, good health, a job, family etc. There are people who would give everything to have some of these blessings. Yes. Read that again.
So be grateful because things could always be worse. Thank the Almighty.
why do we not have a thriving culture of basements given how hot it gets here in most of the country?
tbh it's the best investment you can have against summers.
it's literally a natural AC
You know what love is? When Sayyidah Khadijah was in her final moments, Sayyiduna Muhammad (S.A.W) gazed upon her and said, 'Allah has promised me that you shall be my wife in paradise!'
Can you imagine those precious last moments? Can you imagine the heartbreak, severe pain, and indescribable hardship? Yet, she looked at his beautiful, illuminated face with joy, happiness, and ultimate contentment and asked, "REALLY!? May it be with happiness and plentiful children!" - look at her reaction! look at her faith! Look at that loyalty! look at the level of her love for Sayyiduna Muhammad (S.A.W)! Death is easy as long as union with the Beloved comes at the end of it.
You know what love is? Love is Sayyidah Khadijah touching the chest of Rasulallah every time he entered the house. It's her placing a cloak over him in order to comfort him and to show him her love. It's her being the first to believe in him. It's her being the first to bow and prostrate with him. It's the prophet (S.A.W) becoming tearful after he saw her necklace years after she passed away. It's him sending her friends gifts as a sign of loyalty after she passed away. It's him mentioning her greatness to all those whom he met. It's him saying, 'Allah has never given me better than Khadijah!' And It's about them discussing their home in Paradise together whilst they still walked on earth.
Imagine you spent your entire life worshipping Allah, fasting, praying, giving loads of charity, even did Hajj and it all went to waste. Why?💔
Because you simply could not keep your mouth shut about others!😞
-Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"Backbiting is more grievous than adultery and Allah, will not forgive the backbiter until the one wronged has forgiven him."
Do not backbite muslims, and do not search for their faults, for if anyone searches for their faults, Allaāh will search for his faults. And if Allah searches for the fault of anyone, He humilities him (even if he hides) in his house.🍂
"And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother dead? you would detest it." (49:12)
‘Inna Ma'iya Rabbi sa yahdeen’
Keep reciting this, with your heart & with your tongue, say it often, especially when the heart is anxious, filled with worries. Just like Musa when you see an ocean ahead & there's seemingly no way, call out to your Lord, for Heﷻ will make a way.

Umar ibn Al-Khattab's response to his wife raising her voice at him, "She washes my clothes, comforts me, cares for my children, and cleans my house, when Allah has not commanded her to do so, but she volunteers to do all that. Shouldn't I tolerate her if she raises her voice?"
There is intimacy in “ikhlaaq” - manners as well. When you hold a door for her so that she can pass by, open the car door for her to sit in , place your hand on a sharp corner that might hit her , and lower your voice in an argument (1)
