Yesterday, as part of the NaYAMR of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week awareness week, we visited the Sokoto Modern Abattoir to create awareness about AMR.
We "domesticated" the message of AMR as we engaged with the butchers and livestock handlers using the indigenous Hausa
language to ensure everyone understood the core issues.
We discussed why we must stop pumping animals with drugs unnecessarily, how bad practices lead to drug accumulation in our meats and the need for personal and workplace hygiene to ensure we are not spreading harmful
reminds us of every other child out there who has been deprived of happiness at a very tender age.

In commemoration of the 2025 World Children's Day themed, "My Day, My Right", we were at Government Girls Day Secondary School, Kofar Marke, Sokoto to celebrate the day with junior secondary school students of the school.
