@Jokamundo@Lei_Takanashi We agree, we would rather have them distracted so we can hop turnstiles haha. We just wanted to have some fun and laugh about the fact we see this everyday and could make a whole book on it. They are humans at the end of the day and this isn’t going to change. Just for laughs.

@galaxy_foams_@Lei_Takanashi With all of the proceeds from the Distracted Police book, the Exit Plan Crew & Volunteers will be organizing a clothing drive and donate up to 2,136 bags filled with clothes and hygienic supplies to our homeless population
@musicceo99 At this rate we’ll need 10 editions! 😂 we’re using the funds to buy care package bags for the homeless, we’ll lay out where the funds are going in a post soon
Last year, Mayor Eric Adams asked New Yorkers to send pics of police officers staring at their phones instead of patrolling the subway.
Next week, two photographers will release a 132-page zine featuring 165+ photos of just that. All proceeds will go towards the homeless in NYC
Politicians are demanding more cops in the subways, which means spending millions of dollars for cops to hang around and play on their phones. Money which could go to our communities, schools, hospitals, etc.
It’s incredibly frustrating that the NYC City Council thinks having cops hang around playing Candy Crush in the subway is the best possible use of public funds.
Just a few of the officers we have spotted on their phones hahaha! Never ending honestly, very excited for this zine we have put together!! Coming soon! All profits to be donated or used to buy clothes/food for a giveaway in NYC.
@ericadamsfornyc at the end of April, since then we have taken or received over 350 photos of police on phones, we gonna send you whole book! We got you!! Nothing has changed at all!
