Rice walked the main courtyard of the Academy, looking down as she held El’s mask in her hands.

“Poor El… She must be distraught. And now that I’m holding it the Goddesses aren’t letting us find—”

And then she bumped right into her.

Rice went around the Academy trying to find El. In the dorm buildings, the main ground, the cafeteria, library, practice track… Rice had seen a couple of Luchas de Apuestas matches, so she knew the significance of a luchador’s mask. If too many people saw El without it…

"Huh. How did that get there?" she said, hopping out of her bed and picking up the mask. "I suppose I should bring this back to El."

Rice was relaxing in her dorm room, reading one of her favorite picture books, when the famous, distinctive mask of El Condor Pasa found its way underneath her door and right into the middle of her rug.

Absorbed by the book, she took a long time to notice the foreign cloth—
