@educationgovuk In reality of course, most school use PP grant to boost general budget, rather than target it at PP pupils, then just fudge a bogus PP action plan for Ofsted and the website.
Excellent analogy for the Ofsted inspection process from an ex-inspector:
‘It’s like measuring a cloud with a ruler. There are aspects of a cloud which you can measure with a ruler, but it will tell you nothing about the nature of the cloud.’

@SchoolsWeek@educationgovuk Ours just goes into the general school budget, then we make up a pretend spend for the annual PP report. I’m sure we’re not alone.
Discussion today about expanding our after-school provision in September, not to develop social skills, life skills etc but to provide a warm refuge for pupils who will be going home to cold houses this winter.
