Mid-Atlantic American born and raised, now living in Southwest OK. Army vet, aspiring novelist, blogger, amateur radio enthusiast, and a bunch of other stuff.
@Chie_fitness I was fortunate enough to have made four separate trips over the years. My first time was a pass through in 1989. I made a very short trip to Yakota Air Force Base in 1996, and another brief stay in 2000.
My most recent visit (Tokyo) was two years ago.😎
@Grunt2A As George Carlin once famously said: “Remove the signs and let nature take its course.”
The “don’t wear pants while ironing label/tab likely has an origin story as well.
@2fluffy2furious TBH, I can understand his bewilderment. I remember growing up without any of the technological wonders we enjoy today and ask myself “how on earth did we survive 70s?”
@tuuu28283 I am biased. I live in Oklahoma, but if I were to be real about the question, my answer would be Texas. And I say this as a guy who was born and raised in the American mid-Atlantic part of the country.
@YoAdrienne1968 I think that Trump is a far better president with that four year gap. He had time to think about what he could do if he had another chance at bat, and Biden’s blundering gave him both clarity and opportunity to make the needed adjustments.
But yes, 2020 was definitely a steal.
@Chie_fitness This was easily one of my favorite parts of Tokyo (I am such a nerd). Riding the trains and visiting the various electronic stores just appealed to the inner gadget guy in me. (Forgive me if I had mentioned this before)
@Chie_fitness *phew!* So glad that it was a false alarm. And thank goodness that you are able to handle your daily business without any external assistance (welcomed at it might have been). Exploring your area for new finds sounds good, so have fun!
@tanpukunokami Wait, what??!!
You absolutely should go watch Cowboy Bebop. Preferably with local friends. Definitely with an open mind. It’s a Japanese export that has resonated worldwide with fans like myself for years.
Absorbed properly, you’re gonna carry that weight a long time. 😎😏
The first ten minutes of the 2009 movie “Up” is arguably the most emotional rollercoaster ride in animation I have ever seen. Good luck finding anything in the genre that is even close.
@mico_bodymake Facts. If you were a single woman in my town, you would need bodyguards to hold back the volume of guys (with good eye vision) who would wish to make your acquaintance. Muscles, plumb hips, and generally attractiveness makes for the best international business card, always.😎
