Join us April 10th at 12:30 for the Library's Annual International Poetry Reading. This event is free and open to all - interested in reading? Just comment here or email librarian Courtney - [email protected]
Happy National Library Week! This year's theme is 'There's More to the Story,' and we couldn't agree more! We're particularly proud of the human stories that libraries support and foster everyday.
This week's Featured Database is "Reading Rockets," which offers reading strategies, lessons, and activities designed to help young children learn how to read and read better. This database will be especially useful for Education majors!
We know it's hot here in the Library, but things should be cooling down in the next few days thanks to our hardworking friends in Facility Operations!
In the meantime, the first floor of the Library is the coolest place to be at the moment if you need a study space or computer.
Announcing the next round of titles for the "Reading the Rainbow" book club we do in partnership with the Floyd County Library. The next meeting will be Wed, April 19 @ 6pm.
Did you know that in addition to getting research help in the library, via email or live chat, that you can also schedule one-on-one research appointments with a librarian? These sessions can be held online via Zoom or in person at the library!
Librarians are here to help at any point in the semester. Did you know that in addition to visiting the library, emailing, or using live-chat, that you can also book one-on-one research appointments with librarians?
Don't forget! You can book study rooms online now! No more contacting the library (although you still can if you need to). Just use the QR code or this link: https://t.co/7P21AItLcW
Happy Spring Break! Just a little reminder about the Library's hours this week. Remember, you can still get research assistance in-person, via live chat, or email during these hours as well!
Important update on how to book study rooms! Starting March 1, you'll be able to reserve study rooms yourself! There will be no more 2-hour wait period too!
Here's some need-to-know info:
Here again with another featured database. Did you know we provide access to the Rock and Roll, Counterculture, Peace and Protest (Popular Culture in Britain and America, 1950-1975)? Check it out here: https://t.co/ys2cfIg3fi
Have you heard about this reading program that our library friends at the Floyd County Library are hosting? For readers in grades 0-12, this reading challenge earns you arcade tokens and more! More here: https://t.co/JhZTRDiSVz
Did you know the Library provides access to more than 680 databases? Food Studies Online is one of these and gives you access to resources that show how food shapes the world.
Access it here: https://t.co/nxhSnGsCeI
