Peace comes from the hearts and actions of people. That is why the role of civil society is so important.

Every day, organisations on the ground provide food, healthcare and education. They strengthen communities, build trust, keep dialogue and hope alive under the most difficult circumstances.

It was a privilege to listen to their ideas and solutions and I was encouraged by the shared commitment to peace, reform and recovery.

The EU stands firmly by their side.

Europe’s past, present and future is about people.

Across generations, Europe is changing: people are ageing, moving, and our population is evolving.
Policies must keep pace.

Demographers and research networks like @PopulationEU and @EU_JRC help turn data into better long-term policies.

An official European Demography Day would create a regular moment to raise awareness of shared demographic challenges across Europe, supporting support better coordination and evidence-based policymaking at EU level.

With the Pact for the Mediterranean, we are writing a new chapter in our cooperation journey.

The path to peace must be built on dialogue, justice, and respect for international law.

President Trump’s plan must translate into meaningful negotiations that bring us closer to that path.

The goal remains unchanged: Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace and security. I sincerely hope this can be quickly achieved.

The EU stands ready to mobilise support for Gaza’s reconstruction from the very first day of a ceasefire.

Glad to be at the @UN on behalf of the EU, and co-chairing the Working Group on the Peace Day Effort with our Arab League partners.

“The day after” is a concrete plan for peace & stability via a:

1️⃣ Peace Supporting Package.
2️⃣ Regional security & the respect of sovereignty and international law.
3️⃣ Follow-up via the Global Alliance for the implementation of the Two-State Solution.
