Right now, all price increases are blamed on tariffs, regardless of the actual cause. Label it and only tariff price increases will be blamed on tariffs. I’m glad Trump is too stupid to pick that up.

@acweyand @CricketB A school I went to had issues where they had to allocate half the boys rooms to the girls while fixing an issue with a bunch of girls rooms. This happens when all of a gender is on the same plumbing line, so might as well be prepared. Seems benign.

@DGBassani @CricketB There was a law adding a misdemeanor for wearing a mask while in the commission of a crime or staging a protest for the purpose of concealing one’s identity. An exception had been made for the pandemic and it has been rescinded. Walking down the street with a mask is still ok.

@lexcade @JaneLebak I can’t help but think of the venerable Pierre Toussaint. He gave generously to help others and was as far from a silver spoon as one could conceivably get. He refused to retire as that wouldn’t have limited his ability to help others.

@CricketB Or have no hypotheses. “Let’s see which sort algorithm is faster” is a valid experiment, useful back when computer science was being born, and rules out nothing.
