Dear Lagosians,
I am pleased to announce that the Lagos State Government is collaborating with MTN Nigeria @MTNNG to redevelop and transform the Obalende under-bridge into a modern, well-structured transport hub to be known as Y’ELLO Bus Park.
This redevelopment will convert what was once a notorious and degraded space into a functional, secure, and community-centred facility. The new bus park will feature an organised and regulated transport terminal, a recycling drop-off station, a road camp for LAWMA sweepers and security agencies, over 60 public toilet fixtures, kiosks, and other essential amenities designed to serve commuters and residents alike.
The design prioritises safety, health, and aesthetics. Solar-powered lighting will improve night-time visibility, reduce blind spots, and enhance CCTV effectiveness, helping to curb criminal activities and improve overall security in the Obalende axis. A biodigester system is also being introduced to sustainably manage wastewater generated within the park, while a dedicated recycling station will discourage illegal waste disposal in the area.
In line with our commitment to climate responsibility, the project includes the installation of solar panels to support long-term energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint. Tree planting is also planned to improve air quality and enhance the visual appeal of the environment.
This project reflects our resolve to reclaim public spaces, make them functional, sustainable, and safe, and ensure they serve the needs of Lagosians in a modern, responsible way.
Together, we are building a cleaner, safer, and more resilient Lagos.

Just encountered one of the most convincing Google account takeover scams I’ve seen.
Perfect American accent. Calm. Professional.
They start the call by saying someone tried to hack your Google account using a fake death certificate, then ask if you recognize a recovery email or phone number.
They ask if you’ve received any recent Google emails about an account you don’t recognize trying to recover access.
And sure enough, there’s a legit Google security email.
Here’s the trick.
The attacker isn’t trying to hack your account.
They create a throwaway Google account, set your email as the recovery email, then try to recover that account. Google sends you a real security email.
The scammer calls you live, references the email, and even tells you to verify the headers since it comes directly from Google.
The headers are real. That’s the point.
Then they tell you they’re locking down your account and that you’ll get a recovery prompt on your phone. You just need to approve it to stay safe.
The giveaway was the device and location in the prompt didn’t match me. When I pushed back, they claimed it was from their servers, which obviously makes no sense.
At that point I hung up. I have a personal rule to never approve anything I didn’t initiate, especially while on the phone.
Extremely well executed social engineering. I’m sure this works on a lot of people.
And if someone calls you about account security, assume it’s a scam

Nigerians are truly suffering along the Lagos–Badagry Expressway, particularly from Agbara Junction to Ijanikin. After long, exhausting workdays, many commuters are forced to trek over a kilometer just to find a vehicle, or remain stranded for hours in unbearable traffic due to ongoing construction.
While temporary disruptions are expected during road projects, the current pace of work does not match the level of hardship being experienced daily. The situation suggests that commuters’ welfare is not being given the urgency it deserves.
This is more than an inconvenience — it is affecting productivity, safety, and quality of life. Authorities and contractors must urgently review the work plan, improve traffic management, and accelerate construction to ease the suffering of thousands who rely on this vital corridor every day.

TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI DISRUPTS ILLICIT DRUG SUPPLY NETWORK IN THE NORTH EAST
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) under Operation DESERT SANITY V, have recorded another significant success in efforts to degrade terrorist logistics and criminal support networks in the North East.
Acting on credible intelligence on 23 January 2026, troops arrested a suspected drug dealer, Hauwa Abulazeez, aged 65, in Askira Uba LGA of Borno State. The suspect is alleged to be one of the suppliers of cannabis sativa to Boko Haram Terrorist elements operating through Askira Uba, Rumirgo, Gwahi, Wamdiyo, Uvu, and Gaya, and a key conduit in the distribution of the substance across several communities within the Theatre.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect sourced the illicit substance from Sarti Baruwa LGA of Taraba State and transported it through established supply routes for onward distribution. During the operation, 14 compressed blocks of cannabis sativa, with an estimated total weight of approximately 30 kilograms, were recovered, representing a significant interception intended to sustain illicit activities.
The suspect is currently in custody undergoing preliminary investigation, while follow-up actions are ongoing to identify and dismantle the wider network involved in the trafficking and distribution of the substance.
The interception underscores the broader impact of denying illicit supply chains that fuel violence, criminality, and instability. By disrupting these networks, the operation contributes to improved security conditions, reduced criminal influence, and the reinforcement of lawful authority and order across the region.
OPHK remains unwavering in its resolve to confront and eliminate all forms of criminality across the North East. Through sustained intelligence-driven operations and continuous pressure across the Theatre, troops will persist in denying criminal networks the space, resources, and freedom required to operate, until enduring peace and stability are achieved.

On Friday, Nigeria lost five of our gallant soldiers in a terrorist attack on a military convoy in the Timbuktu Triangle. 🕯️🇳🇬
They stood in harm’s way so others could live in peace. Their sacrifice is a painful reminder of the cost of defending our nation.
May their souls rest in peace, and may God grant strength to their families and to the brave troops still holding the line.
🫡 Never forgotten. Support our troops.

KWARA | GOOD NEWS 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

“Beef or chicken” woke me up from my slumber and I spent my time on the flight eating lol. When the pilot announced “cabin crew please prepare for landing”, that’s when I knew i didn’t have much time to draw😅. I’m glad she loved the sketch though.
@1Adindu It is the person that committed sin without repenting in the first place that is attempting to bring ridicule to the body of Christ, not those asking them to repent and be accountable. This is the lie abusers use to keep victims in their chains.
