Cadets from the Royal Solent Yacht Club enjoyed a training session on our Dinghy Simulator. Mastering random gusts in 18 knots as they navigated their way around the course.

We recently welcomed monks from Quarr Abbey to the Gallery in East Cowes to study the importance of boat and shipbuilding to the history of the Isle of Wight. The Gallery showcases many models & images of vessels built by the people of the Island over several centuries.
Come and see INEOS BRITANNIA in Cowes. The British entry for the 2021 Americaโs Cup & donated to the Classic Boat Museum for display. You can also see one of the foil arms which was built by the Museumโs team of restorers. See her until the end of October

At the Southampton Boat Show you can see the Hostess 17 which was one of the original open cockpit, deep-chine hull speed boats built by Sunseeker in Poole. She is a stunning boat and we are delighted that next year this Hostess 17 will be on display at the Classic Boat Museum.

Senior Moments Visit the Gallery
We have made great strides with its outreach activities. A grant from the Arts Council has enabled us to offer free entry to a number of local community groups. We welcomed members of East Cowes Senior Moments group.

The official naming ceremony of the cat boat Vigia took place recently. Donated to the museum Vigia the volunteers have worked tirelessly over the last 10 years to rebuild Vigia to her former glory. Read more here:
