🚨🇬🇭She Did It For Us When We Were Young - DopeNation Surprise Mother With Hyundai Elantra on Her 60th Birthday
Ghanaian music duo DopeNation have celebrated their mother’s 60th birthday with a surprise gift of a brand-new Hyundai Elantra.
The twin brothers explained that the gift was inspired by years of sacrifice and support from their mother during their upbringing.
They recalled a childhood moment when they asked their father for mobile phones after they became popular at the time. According to them, their mother, who was in Accra while they lived in Takoradi, travelled to surprise them instead.
“When mobile phones became popular, we asked our father for a phone when we never had one. Our mother was in Accra and we were in Takoradi.
She left all the way from Accra to come and surprise us with two brand new phones,” they said.
DopeNation also said their family background was not wealthy, but their mother remained consistent in her support.
“Everyone who knows us knows that we’re not from a rosy home. She has always been there and by God’s grace, she made us reach this level,” they stated.
They added that the memory of that gesture has stayed with them over the years, even influencing how they support her now.
“She’s 60 now. Sometimes, my brother and I will just remember that phone she got us, then we will just send her money for no reason,” they shared.
“Now, it’s not just money that we will give her. The way she came to surprise us when we were about 12 years old, we wanted to do something like that for her too,” they added.
