Nolan Jacob of Emporia with a breakout game for the Spartans in a 65-43 win over Topeka. The 6’1 senior had 21 points and 8 rebounds which was a career high. On the season Jacob is averaging 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds. Emporia moves to 9-4 on the season and have won their last four in a row. Their only losses come from 6A #10 Rural, 5A #4 Great Bend, 5A #3 Kapaun, and Spring Hill. #sportsinkansas

Good weekend in Manhattan at the Midwest Open. I went 6-13, 7 runs, 3 walks, and 3 rbi’s at the plate. Hitting it to all sides of the field. On the mound I went 2-0, with 1 save, throwing 9 innings with 0 runs, 17 K’s, 4 hits. Ending the weekend off with a tournament win.
