@jared_555 @AJWTheology Paul was speaking to the Ephesian church, and “hymn” had a specific meaning under Roman rule. Romans used battle hymns in coliseums while killing Christians. The church took those tunes and wrote Christian songs to them—that’s what Paul was referencing.

So Christ suffered as we did and was tempted as we are, but his divine nature is how he remained sinless
