Jennifer English portrays Maelle, a character she describes as "independent, fierce, and complicated."

Orphaned at age three, Maelle is now sixteen years old and the youngest member of the Expedition. For her, joining is a way to break from the constraints of Lumière and finally forge her own destiny. Shy and slow to trust others, she yearns for freedom and is driven by a deep desire to escape.

"Maelle goes through a lot," Jennifer told us. "It was very important to me to get to the truth of her journey and honor it authentically. I felt emotionally bruised and battered after the recording sessions, but in the best, most cathartic way."
