The systemic delays and uncertainty that doctors endured in 2024 to secure CBA-guaranteed internship postings and salaries are now behind us. Through sustained collective advocacy, these long-standing challenges have been resolved.

The Ministry of Health has officially confirmed that the 2026/2027 cohort will commence internship on 1 July 2026, with seamless placement and timely payment of salaries. Incoming pre-interns are expected to collect their offer letters during the official flag-off ceremony on Monday, 29 June 2026.

This milestone reflects the impact of strategic engagement, collective bargaining, and the unwavering resolve of doctors who stood together against institutional injustice. It belongs to every doctor who marched, negotiated, and remained steadfast in defending the profession.
