When I read about trans surgery for kids, I think of my dear mom who had a botched hysterectomy. The surgeons accidentally cut a nerve and she forever lost the ability to urinate on her own and she had continual pain and infections from having to use a catheter. It destroyed her ease in life. When they are removing and reconstructing teens reproductive organs...can you imagine the possible complications?!! This isn't a minor surgery. It is the most invasive, complex, surgery imaginable. The casual way it's being thrown around is unthinkable. My mom's life was ruined by a simple hysterectomy. When I was young, I had all kinds of mental struggles. Decades later, I don't recognize any of those any more. Please stop this insanity of changing a child's gender. Lives will be destroyed.
