Variety's 10 Actors to Watch: Jaafar Jackson

Acting came later and almost by accident, when producers approached Jackson about “Michael.” Now, he’s ready to show what else he can do, currently shooting a role opposite Will Smith that he calls the opposite of “Michael.” “It’s fine when people say, ‘He can only play Michael.’ That excites me more,” he says. “Wait till I show you something else.”

" Jaafar dreams of composing a film score someday. And when asked whether he would jump into the superhero world — maybe like a live-action Miles Morales — he responds, “I’d suit up!”

" The one thing he refuses to be is in a box. “It’s fine when people say, ‘He can only play Michael.’ That excites me more,” he says. “Wait till I show you something else.”

YESSS JAAFAR END THEM

[addie🩷 #ESTELLAWEEK @mjspearss]

people who dont like jaafar have to talk about him every five minutes so they dont implode

[ellie ☆ @thriillerrmj]

YESS JAAFAR THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING His first role, and as difficult a role as Michael , and to knock it out of the park on acting, singing and dancing when you’ve never acted before. There is really no comparison here. He deserves it all and even more!!!

Jaafar Jackson will be honored at the 27th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival on October 17th. #Michaelmovie

#mjtwt #jaafartwt might get me skinned.. but no you are not superior if you’re older, you are not superior if you have a lot of followers, and you DAMN sure aren’t superior if you don’t like jaafar.

[nevina @whalienspiper]

jaafar jeremiah jackson, you are a masterpiece.

[adalynn 🧛🏻‍♀️ #ESTELLAWEEK!! @mjsthrtnd]

if you sit on mjtwt & laugh at a joke about michael regarding drugs & saying his kids are not his, you do not belong here—i don’t care what part of the joke you thought was funny, it wasn’t & there is no excuse
