In user stories we typically focus our effort on what users want, but if we spend that same effort on why they want it development teams will make better decisions and the result will be user magic.
Seth Dobrin is one of my go to people for data science strategy and trends. Totally agree with him about the team sport nature of data science. Data scientists can't be successful without people who understand the business side and engineers who can put models into production.
The bosses we remember:
1 provided safe space to grow
2 opened career doors
3 defended us when we needed it
4 recognized and rewarded us
5 developed us as leaders
6 inspired us to stretch higher
7 led by example
8 told us our worked mattered
9 forgave us when we made mistakes
