With the AT play last night I see a lot of people saying "Who gets up with closed fists?!" Well probably somebody who has no labrums in both arms.
An open-hand push bends the wrist back, forcing the shoulder socket to absorb a massive, rotating load, which can cause pinching or dislocation without labrum cartilage.
By using closed fists, AT locks her wrists straight. This bypasses the unstable shoulder mechanics, shifting the load to her triceps and chest instead of her damaged joints.
