The Slag is a biome consisting of a forest that's been burned down multiple times by occasional lava flows from the volcano nearby. I believe Faith is also the first Ark map with an active forest fire 🔥

@nitrofrosty You should go try Rust, I heard they had a summer update recently and they're adding cool new vehicles to the game pretty soon. You'll probably like that game if you haven't tried it yet.

With an updated interior to the volcano, comes an updated exterior. Complete with golden aspen trees, large scary thorns, and an acidic sulfur pool that will dissolve anything within it.

@BlackShrubberie @survivetheark @ComplexMinded @ZenRowe In the next update deep within the volcano and through the Overseer portal you'll be able to farm element in some sort of way there.

With the next update for Faith the Volcano's interior is being permanently opened to allow for Genesis based content, including Magmasaur spawns and added resources. It also includes the remade surrounding forest.

Beneath the ice hides beautiful amber kelp, large coral trees, constellations of starfish, and hidden cavities within the steep rock walls.

The north sea isn't only freezing cold but blanketed by an ice sheet where in some cases massive portions of the ocean are completely sealed off, causing the resources beneath to become more valued and even harder to reach.
