My daughter starts nursery part-time in January (3 days per week). The cost will be the same as my monthly mortgage payment. This headline shouldn't surprise anybody. The system has and continues to fail miserably.
Well it looks like I'm not going to be unemployed for much longer. Offer on the table with a fantastic business I know very very well. Onwards and upwards
Tomorrow is going to be quite an important day. It'll be the turning point for whether I stay in a full-time role or run with my own business and contracting 👀
My last credits from Sumo and I couldn't be more proud of all the folks listed on this picture. Redundancy sucks, but we never know what could be round the corner.
@JesseZulak That I totally agree with! It's a buyers market right now for better or for worse, so I'd advise all candidates to prep as much as possible.
While I'm looking for a permanent job I'm open to doing some consulting work or fractional leadership. Any businesses out there in need of new or fresh TA, get in touch!
Well this sucks. Future of my own role is uncertain, but with a 6 month old daughter at home it would be good to have some irons in some fires. Anyone needing a Senior TA Manager or Head of TA give me a shout.
Unfortunately there will be a restructure for the SUMO Group, meaning I could be at risk of being made redundant!
I am looking for any support during this time - please forward any production roles across❤️
Ty - Luke!

@HungLee Interesting data but without a lot of context: average rate of growth per org size category for example. Would be interesting to see performance differentiators as well i.e candidate NPS for a 999 person business with 3 recruiters.
Adding to this, the government clearly haven't considered that organisations will be forced to increase GEO and contractor utilisation for remote international talent. Increase in costs = increase in prices = inflation OR increase in costs = redundancies = drop in taxation and NI
The government's attack on the Shortage Occupation List and the new salary threshold for visa sponsorship is a clear display that that they are not in-fact "pro-work" or "pro-industry", but are just solidifying their position as "pro-elite".
Hoping more kids go to university won't fix this issue. Tories have deepened Inequalities in the education system over the last decade, so even if we see an uptick in students with relevant skills, we're still going to lack the diversity needed for industries to thrive.
