@Drako_Fire889 I think this was the straw that broke the camel's back and made the IDW detractors just seem completely unagreeable to 99% of the sonic fanbase. They already had a bad rep before but this one was just on another level.

when someone says something so revampphobic you gotta hit them with the flicky down smash stare

@Nina_once_Again Sonic is literally naoto oshima's OC

[Jakackalope Draws @JackalopeDraws]

@Justin61894350 I don't expect them to highlight it as a location from the games but using a tropical beach locale reminiscent of those areas is a smart way to make an action scene feel more like its right out of the games.

@SamHain31st Not to mention Sonic Boom was actually the closest the franchise got to dying, 06 hurt the critical reputation of the games for a while but Boom made retailers not want to carry sonic products at all and that's a death rattle for most franchises

[Jakackalope Draws @JackalopeDraws]

@just_pitch I just find it funny the post talks up the 2010s for Sonic when it was probably his worst decade, but of course the marketing team isn't gunna talk about it like that

@467Doggo Sonic scaling goes so crazy since he fought stuff like 5th dimensional gods that are above time itself and the concept of entropy. Metal Sonic is supposed to be around Sonic's level he just lacks the heart that Sonic has and that's why he can never win.
