Why would anyone ignore Jodie Whittaker as an ambassador? This is the woman who literally climbed into her closet during COVID to send a message of hope to kids all over the world
Tom Holland says making Spider-Man more street level is one of the changes he made for fans in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’
“The fans really wanted this street-level Spider-Man movie that felt relatable, that didn’t necessarily feel like saving the world.”

@jammywho21 His stories have always had less of a focus on the relationship between The Doctor and the TARDIS, Moffat did the most with the idea, my disagreement is the seeming disregard for The Doctor having any emotional tie to the TARDIS
This is fascinating to me because I feel this shows, for whatever reason, he has a completely different view of the show now compared to back then, and in my opinion, coming into this a true misunderstanding of the show.
Introducing bi-generation with the 15th Doctor, the first black male incarnation and leading the show, comes out rather than “overtakes” the previous face, was immediately a way for people to separate him…
Fond as I was of fifteen, it’s crazy how the instant jodie whittaker and jo martin showed up in their respective cameos I was like “ohh right, there’s the doctor”
Doctor Who didn't just fail because of the "nostalgia trap," it failed because there was no substance to the "nostalgia." You can bring back past characters/aliens successfully, they just need purpose, and you still have to introduce them like they are new.
#DoctorWho will be off air for at LEAST 3 years, Deadline reports, with industry insiders saying it’ll easily be 5+ until the TARDIS finds its way back to screens, if it does.
One top producer exclaimed “you would have to be mad” to take on the show.

Ironically I feel the BBC and RTD’s approach to communicating Doctor Who’s future is similar to the governments. Continuous claims of setting things up for the future, and we never ever reach that future
I feel awful for the new writers coming in to pick up this guys 2 seasons of vague set up and bad storytelling, but whether they try and bridge where we left or just breeze into a new era in a few years, hopefully it’ll be in a healthier place when it returns

The fact they literally didn’t have anything in the works and just threw Billie Piper in and ran away, I’ve not seen someone unintentionally destroy something so effectively
@_Lost_something Loved Ncuti, I’m talking about regeneration itself and how I feel the fact he BiGenerated from Tennant, then regenerated into Billie Piper, being more shock value than meaningful character evolution, for me he never got the material he deserved
Regeneration used to symbolise moving forward and used to be a special element of this show. We’ve not had a normal regeneration since 2017, it’s so over
I am sure there are so many talented actors that would give everything for a role like The Doctor, I’d much rather an unknown name personally and in that regard, there must be countless quality candidates surely?
#DoctorWho’s Christmas special might be delayed until Easter 2027, as producers struggle to find someone willing to play The Doctor. The special was set to ‘wrap up’ the previous era and set the scene for what’s next.
The BBC declined to comment when approached by Radio Times.
