Freshman Trent Sisley the hero for IU. He hits a free throw with .3 left to win it for the Hoosiers 98-97 at UCLA in double overtime. IU has now won three straight.
With a week to reflect, I’m convinced this was the greatest moment in sports history.
A 2-star recruit leads the worst program ever to a national championship, beats his hometown team that wouldn’t let him walk on, and finishes it by running over the same guy who knocked him out the year before, with his mother battling MS watching from the stands.
If it was a Disney movie, you’d say it was too much.
Yesterday before the Big Ten Championship, J wore his candy stripes and warmup shirt to his game in Columbus! Love watching his passion fo @IndianaMBB and @IndianaFootball , win or lose. He leans into both programs with all he has! Go Hoosiers!
Indiana 6’8 Freshman Trent Sisley had a strong showing in his college debut.
23 Points
8 Rebounds
3 Assists
1 Block
8/10 FG
4/4 3FG
Despite only being a freshman Sisley looked years ahead tying Indiana in scoring while also having incredible efficiency and playing high level basketball on both ends. He’s someone that could be one of the biggest breakout freshmen in CBB this season.
He’s still at it! A lot of work to do but kid won’t give up in his pursuit of meeting @wemby when the @spurs play the pistons! Does anyone know a French teacher that can help? 😂
Indiana played
-the 2024 national champion
-the 2024 runner up
-the 2025 national champion
-the 2025 runner up
They went 11-2. How’s that for SOS? #IUFB#NeverDaunted
