@PopBase I mean… it’s better than 143 at least? Even if it is generic and uninspired, at least it doesn’t actively offend me to listen to it
I just wish she would get some better songwriters though because these lyrics are giving Kidz Bop
@martynfoster4@Saltyfootball7@PolitlcsUK Do you even understand what left-wing means? because I can assure you no true left-winger is in favour of this nonsense
@bookbird71@organalovebot Can you read? He’s saying that children who are already lonely and isolated will become even more so by this ban which will make it more likely that they take their own lives. He’s not saying every child ever will kill themselves you weirdo
@bornposting Writing-wise, it is one of the game’s peaks. Very few of the game’s villains are established as well as Kamoshida is, and his evil ways are shown to impact several prominent characters rather than just the new PT recruit being the sole representative of all their victims.
@james_d_bx Nah I can’t agree. The character writing in RTD1 was so much stronger than in RTD2. I mean Jackie Tyler is a better written, more well realised character than Ruby or Belinda ffs
@everhyy I do like her, and I think she has one of the stronger arcs of all the Phantom Thieves, but you can very clearly tell she was tacked onto an already complete game and brute forced into the story without really fitting all that well. Once you get to 3rd semester, she’s great.
@VideoArtGame Of these games, First Light wins and it’s not even close. Requiem could have been in the running if the entire game was as strong as the first half, but the massive dip in quality hurts the game a lot. I urge all the doubters to play First Light because it’s genuinely fantastic.
@Arcturus_47@zakidexter@VideoArtGame It’s the best game of the four listed here and it’s not even close
Requiem could have been in the conversation if the whole game was as good as the first half, but alas
@VikingGamer101@PocketTrigger Not on your fucking life 🤣🤣 SwSh was colourful, had decent character models and a decent OST, that’s literally it. Everything else, story, region design, characters, Dynamax, the DLC, legendaries, the wild area… all abysmal
@OhMyEmz I feel like Doctor Who's wokeness in the RTD2 era was more focused on pissing off right wingers than telling good stories. It was trying too hard to be woke without actually engaging with "woke" ideas beyond a surface level.
@mouseforgot The hill I’m willing to die on is that 99% people claiming that this was super obvious and that they picked up on it in their first playthrough are lying through their teeth to appear smart. This line is such a throwaway and holds zero meaning to anything until 50+ hours later.
@hennyhouston@grizzlikesfilm There were several moments earlier in the movie where Nikki very obviously rejected the notion of them being a couple. She says something like “ew gross” when their friends suggest it right before this. Guys like Bear usually don’t pick up on subtle hints like that, unfortunately
@Isthisrealchat@BranArtHouse@grizzlikesfilm I know that’s the point overall, I’m just talking about this specific interaction since that’s what the OP is about
This specific interaction reads to me as “I know you like me and I wish you’d just have the guts to tell me so I don’t have to keep feeling awkward around you”
@hennyhouston@grizzlikesfilm She wasn’t looking to “humiliate him”, just to be able to gently reject him in a safe environment, on her own terms. The fact she waited until the two of them were alone shows that she cared for his feelings and didn’t want to embarrass him in front of others.
@rockwell084@ShadyMusicWrld Seriously… the only reason people pretend ARTPOP was a flop is because everything before it was so astronomically huge that ARTPOP just being successful felt like a flop for Gaga
