Stephen Minnis, president of Benedictine College, visited the home of Catholic student Alex Lynch, who was battling cancer, to confer his diploma a day before his death, fulfilling his wish to graduate.
A Mass and a small graduation ceremony were held in the backyard of his home. Lynch was known to attend daily Mass.
